How to organise a DIY tour
A DIY tour works best when the boring details are visible early. Routing, contacts, files, money, and responsibilities should not live in five different group chats.

Build the route before chasing every date
Work from anchor shows, realistic drives, and days off. A cheap show can become expensive if it creates an impossible route.
- Anchor dates
- Drive times
- Border crossings
- Rest days
- Vehicle and accommodation constraints
Confirm and centralise every contact
As dates confirm, store venue and promoter contacts somewhere the whole band can find them.
- Promoter email and phone
- Venue address
- Load-in notes
- Payment agreement
- Hotel or host details
Advance early and assign owners
Do not wait until the week of tour to ask for production and schedule details. Assign tasks so everyone knows who is chasing what.
